Reading Record (cont...)

12 - "Dreamgirls"
By Denene Millner
This is a story of 3 coloured women who want to make it big in the music business. There is much back stabbing and selfishness as the climb to the top nears. Not much to this book, I'm looking forward to hearing the singing and seeing the costumes of the Dreams in the movie.

13 - "In Her Shoes"
By Jennifer Weiner
Well, I finally finished it and I loved it. The story is about 2 very different sisters whose worlds collide and they are both left worse for wares. The beautiful Maggie uses her beauty and charm to get her through life, while the plain Jane Rose uses her wit and intelligence. Rose tookMaggie in when she was evicted from her apartment and kicked out of home, meaning for it to be on a temporary basis only. But when Maggie is caught in bed with Rose's boyfriend (a partner at her current law firm), Maggie is kicked out on the street and Rose takes some time out from her life as a lawyer only to discover there is more to life than working hard! She starts to take life a little less seriously and starts having fun.
